Add power to homemade paper airplanes to make them fly longer, farther, and higher! The PowerUp conversion kit can make a standard paper airplane fly for over 30 seconds on a single charge. It’s easy to incorporate the engine and nylon propeller onto a wide variety of paper airplanes, giving students the opportunity to experiment with various designs and discover which version is the most aerodynamic. Students start by designing and folding their plane. Then they slide the propeller unit onto it, charge it for 20 seconds, and throw the plane into the air in a large indoor or outdoor space to send it flying. They will expand their engineering and physics skills through project-based learning. The lightweight propeller unit features a universal clip that fits most paper airplanes and is designed to withstand high impact if it crashes. Use the included paper templates or download one off the PowerUp website for inspiration. Class Set includes enough PowerUp 2.0 flight modules with chargers and paper templates for up to 24 students. Three AA batteries required (not included). Recommended for Elementary.
